By MRT: Blue Line to Chatuchak Park, then a 10-minute walk. By taxi: tell the driver 'Kor Sor Lor, Chatuchak' (กรมการขนส่งทางบก จตุจักร). Inside the compound, follow the signs for สำนักงานขนส่งกรุงเทพมหานครพื้นที่ 5 — the public counters are in the area-office building, not the departmental headquarters block.

Tips for This Office
Area 5 is the Bangkok area office housed inside the DLT headquarters compound at 1032 Phahonyothin Road — the licence and registration counters foreigners call 'DLT Chatuchak' or 'Mo Chit DLT' are Area 5's. It is the same site as our Bangkok main office page, so there is no second building to travel to.
The practical driving test course is located here.
Queue numbers are available from 8:00 AM — aim to arrive by 7:45 AM.
Some services may redirect you to the main Mo Chit office if the branch does not handle your specific case.
Bring snacks and water as the process can take several hours.
Residence Certificate for This Office
Bangkok DLT offices accept the Immigration residence certificate (TM.16) or an embassy letter as proof of address. In Bangkok the certificate is issued at Immigration Division 1, Chaeng Watthana (Government Complex Building B, 120 Moo 3, Chaengwattana Road Soi 7, Lak Si; Mon-Fri 8:30-16:30, queue tickets stop at 15:30) for 200 THB. It is the strictest office in Thailand: you need a TM.30 filed after your latest entry plus at least one completed 90-day report, and it does not issue certificates to tourist-visa or visa-exempt entries — those applicants use an embassy letter instead. Allow 1-5 business days.
